We take our environmental responsibilities very seriously.

With over 100,000 journeys annually we accept that our business has a direct impact on the environment and we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint.

Our Hybrid Fleet

The Happicabs Toyota Auris Hybrid is one of the most advanced hybrid vehicles available. It seamlessly switches between a petrol engine and electric motor depending on the driving conditions. This means a silent electric travel and ultra-low emissions. With plenty of legroom, climate control and a large boot, the Auris Hybrid is the perfect hybrid vehicle for your journey.

When we allocate a booking to a driver, we ensure the booking is given to the driver that is closest to the pickup point. Our computerised dispatch system is designed to locate the most suited driver for the job. All of our vehicles have a fitted device that enables us to track all our vehicles in real-time. This enables us to reduce dead mileage by up to 40,000 miles annually.

Paperless

Almost 70 per cent of our invoices are e-mailed to our customers. We have a goal to go paperless on all invoices by August 2016, as we believe the requirement for printed invoices will not be required.

We encourage our drivers to switch off the engine when waiting for passengers for longer than three minutes or when stuck in traffic jams to save fuel consumption and reduce emissions. Furthermore, we train our drivers to drive more efficiently, i.e. plan journeys and avoid congestion whenever possible.
